Every county will have 4 busways. While rural counties may not immediately benefit from this system, it will still be installed so to not have to practice imminent domain later in the future. All busways will have Solar Roadways (assuming not vaporware) on the busways. These roadways will provide for solar electricity, melt the snow and ice, and have graphics that might show some importance. Each direction of the busways will be 2 lane roads. The buses will serve curbside lanes whereas bus routes that won’t pick up will run on the center lane. In addition, emergency service vehicles will likely drive on the center lane.
The stations will be designed from the start to be as efficient as possible for the passenger. There will be benches, and eInk signs displaying the approximate time of when a particular route will arrive at the station. Each station will also offer adding funds to their ID card’s pocket for transit. For simplicity, one would either use their NFC capable bank card, or the digital pocket feature of their Kaldus ID card. When using the digital pocket, the transaction machines will be of value since the customer can transfer funds from their bank account to the digital pocket for their KTA fare card.
The busways has no intersections, and therefore allow the bus travel without any traffic lights. The only time they will need to stop is when they are about to reach a station. If the driver sees no one at the station, then the bus can continue on (unless someone pulled the stop signal). This express way will be vital for the buses to serve the communities, and do so efficiently, and quickly.
