There will be 4 regional airports throughout the nation. The airport will sit towards the center of the region, therefore allowing for easier transit. All regional airports will be designed to support short – medium haul aircraft (such as those with 100 passengers). Each regional airport will also have a heliport for transit via helicopter. KTA will manage any airlines that might be allowed in the nation, but there will be no large aircraft to these regional airports for obvious reasons.
Traveling to the regional airport from another county will likely involve helicopters. The is because every county without an regional airport will use the required heliport to traffic flyers from the respective county to the regional airport where they could fly to another regional airport, or to the international airport towards the center of the nation. Those living in the county with a regional airport will likely take an automobile, or public transit that would make sure they get the passengers there on time to transfer.
All regional airports will have to restricted spaces. The first restricted space is intended for emergency services such as air ambulances, and police helicopters. There will be another restricted space for the royal family. This space will support an Airbus A220 which will come from the International Airport to the regional airport. From there, every regional airport will have an armored sedan, and 2 armored SUVs that would meet the standards needed for such automobiles. While not a quick as a helicopter flight, the ground transport will make more sense since there will not need to have the motrocade at every heliport – therefore wasting money. There will also be an Airbus H225 which will be the royal family helicopter as a just in case it is needed.
